Yesterday we have posted rooting method Motorola xyboard/xoom2 , Rooting was achieved by Dan Rosenberg who is a security researcher and rooting master 
. And today Dan Rosenberg posted how to root Lg Spectrum smartphone successfully on his blog , So in this post we are going to show you how you can root your LG Spectrum Device .
Note : We should not be held responsible in any manner in whole or in parts if anything wrong happens to your device after following the instructions .
Pre-Requisites to Root LG Spectrum
To Root your LG Spectrum these are few things you need .
- Download the Root tool for Windows here, or the Linux/OSX version here.
- You have to Enable USB Debugging on your Device. To do this you have to go to development option in your appplication setting .
- Make sure that your device has a charge of at least 60%, I would recommend you charge at least 90% to be safe .
How to Root LG Spectrum
- Extract the tool which is in zip file you have downloaded .
- You have to install LG ADB drivers if you are on Windows .
- Connect your tablet via USB to computer .
- Execute the “run.bat” file if you are windows or “run.sh” from a terminal (on Linux/OSX) .
- Wait till this get completed .

i don’t think you need to shutdown . Just execute the app . Phone will be restarted after the rooting is complete

Mate you can download from your regional Lg site . like http://www.lg.com/uk/support/mc-support/mobile-phone-support.jsp . I haven’t done it for l3 e400 .

I think i need driver ADB for my LG L3 E400 and when i Execute the ”run.bat” file, it notice ”devide waiting for device” and ”daemon started successfully” so nothing happen

to get the drivers for lg install mobile support tool from lg website and click install driver. Also set the correct country since it needs it to get the correct phone models and the drivers for it.

Ya pudiste? yo tengo un LG P708g de TELCEL y nada, lo intenté en windows y en Linux, y al parecer falla desde la primer instrucción al tratar de hacer el enlace simbólico de /data :S

Hola! pues yo tengo exactamente el mismo teléfono, con el firmware más reciente (v10a_02) y tengo el mismo problema que Carlos, ya que desde el primer /data me saca errores diciendo “permision denied”. Será que este firmware es anti rooteo? o que estoy haciendo mal? los drivers están instalados ya que si detecta mi teléfono, sin embargo falla el proceso de rooteo… Gracias!

You are rooting LG Optimus L3 E-400 or lg spectrum ? if you are rooting optimus i can’t say anything . But for both you must have Lg drivers to recognize your device by PC . Get drivers from your country related Lg site .
Advice . if you are really noob try to read warnings first

One question, why do you need to remove the file gps_env.conf? Will the gps work correctly after removing this file? Wouldn’t it be safer to rename the file instead of removing it?

My name is Louis and I’m in trouble.
I can not get root lg optimus on the l3 with rom v10d (new rom October).
already did all ways, superoneclick, spectrumroot, rum.bat, unlock root, z4root among others, all without success.
and it’s not just me, several can not do with v10d.
the problem and installed the v10c and v10a and still can not over the spectrum.
there’s no way to root lg blocked!
I just wanted to use the root Link2SD to move pro memory card that already has lg how to install games on the card without root.
